BLOG POST 4: A MEAL OR FOOD YOU REALLY LIKE

My favorite food is Kimbap (pronounced Gimbap), and is originally from South Korea. Kimbap is a type of sushi (like the "Japanese" that we have in Chile) made mainly of vegetables.

To prepare it, first we need ingredients that are found in Korean supermarkets (in Patronato they sell the supplies, or at least there is where I usually buy them), these ingredients are:

- Sesame Oil

- Nori or Gim Seaweed

- Fish Cake

- Pickled Radish

- Rice Vinegar

The other indredients can be found everywhere, these are:

- Carrot

- Spinach

- Egg

- Rice

- Sesame Seeds

The preparations are first separately, first the rice is made (and yes, it has a special preparation),then the vegetables have to be softened, such as, the carrot in threads, that is fried until soft and the rice vinegar is added (to give it a not so sweet taste), then the spinach is cooked, and the egg is fried, the pickled radish, fish cake and the egg are cut into threads.

The next thing is to pour a little oil on the rice, and then spread the rice with the seaweed, and go placing all the ingredients in order and coupled, so, when rolling everything is compacted. To finish, put a little sesame oil on top of the roll and spread sesame seeds.

I like it because it´s a healthy food and easy to cook. Kimbap alone doesn´t adversely affect health, but if consumed with a lot of soybeans, the salt may affect it somewhat.

It can also be made with other ingredients but this is the recipe I make
